Dr Johan Steenkamp

Johan Steenkamp obtained a Bachelors degree in Podiatry (2010) at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He started his career at the National University Hospital in Singapore where he gained extensive skills in treating high-risk foot conditions. During this time he had the honour of contributing a chapter in THE DIABETIC FOOT published by WORLD SCIENTIFIC.

Johan treats patients with conditions ranging from competitive sports injuries to general foot ailments. Passionate about sport and outdoor activities himself, he understands the importance of being active and pain free.  Johan’s expertise incorporates both adults and children, implementing treatment plans specifically tailored to have long-term benefits for the entire family.

Lucy Weekes

Lucy graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. Having competed in several sports at a state and national level including, running, swimming and surf-lifesaving, she has a particular interest in sports-related biomechanics and assisting everyday athletes in achieving their full potential.

Lucy was born, raised and played her various sports in WA and decided to return after her studies.

Her additional studies include her Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Level 1 certificate and her level 1 sports training certificate and have worked with a Victorian AFL team in injury management and prevention.

About JS Podiatry

We are a local family run podiatry clinic established in 2017 by podiatrist Johan Steenkamp that operates from within Spine & Sports Centre in East Perth. Johan has over ten years' experience working in both private and public health settings. Since opening, he has developed strong relationships with his colleagues at Spine & Sports Centre and works in close collaboration with them, ensuring the best outcomes for his patients.

Johan combines clinical and sports podiatry to deliver a treatment plan that will address your symptoms and have you active and pain-free as soon as possible. From elite athletes to children or patients with chronic conditions, he is committed to finding a solution to your foot problem.

Please use the Priority Referral Form below and we will contact your patient directly and liaise with you regarding their management. For urgent appointments, call the clinic at 08 9221 8458

Consultation fee

Book an appointment by calling our clinic, and we will arrange a suitable time for your consultation. Online bookings are also available on our website. Our consultation fees vary depending upon the nature of your visit and the time required.

An initial consultation is required to assess your foot concerns carefully. At this time, we can provide you with either immediate treatment of your condition or an indication as to additional consultations that might be required, along with those associated costs. 

A GP referral is not required to make an appointment with JS Podiatry unless you seek to have your care covered under DVA, Medicare or WorkCover. Please note that a gap fee is payable for consultations under a Medicare Care Plan.

We have on-the-spot private health fund rebates available through our HICAPS terminal. Bring your health fund card to your appointment and our friendly reception staff will do the rest. 

Initial Consultation: A discussion of your medical history and a thorough podiatric examination or biomechanical gait analysis to identify an accurate diagnosis, treatment and management.

  • Allow 40 to 60 minutes

  • Consultation fee | $131.00

  • Biomechanical consult (extra $80.00)

Follow-up assessment and treatment with a podiatrist for ongoing or continuation of care.

  • Allow 20 to 30 minutes

  • Consultation fee | $99.60
