Remedial Massage Therapist
Sarah graduated from the Australian College of Massage with a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy in 2012 and in 2015 commenced studies in a Diploma of Remedial Massage with Challenger TAFE graduating in July 2016. She has a background in Social Work, having graduated from ECU with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2006.
Sarah’s interest in becoming a Massage Therapist came about after she experienced the benefits of receiving treatment for chronic migraines, which led her to pursue a career in the industry. She has a keen interest in addressing postural conditions, rehabilitating injuries and working with clients who have chronic health conditions using a wide range of Remedial Massage techniques.
Her previous work roles in the Massage industry have allowed her to gain experience treating a wide range of people with various health complaints and with expertise in treating pregnant women, people with chronic pain chronic migraines and lymphoedema.
Previously Sarah worked as a Social Worker in various hospital settings gaining a firm understanding of health conditions and how they impact not only a person’s health but their entire wellbeing. As part of her role, she worked collaboratively with a range of different health professionals including Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Physiotherapists.
Sarah has a keen interest in equestrian pursuits and owns several horses. She enjoys Motorsport and often participates at Subaru Club events as a track Marshall. She loves to travel and is an amateur artist. Sarah is legally blind with Retinitis Pigmentosa and has a Guide Dog named Honey.
